Volleyball Recap: West Hills Wolf Pack vs. Grossmont Foothillers
West Hills was the 3-1 winner over Grossmont when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolf Pack lost 3-0 to the Foothillers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolf Pack have suffered since September 18th.
West Hills was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Grossmont work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-18.
Grossmont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacqueline Villalobos led the charge by getting four aces and three digs. Villalobos has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayla Kenis, who had four digs and four aces.
West Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Grossmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.
