Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jae Johnson and Lillian Alverado Lead Bulls College Prep to Victory

Bulls College Prep lost to Payton College Prep back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bulls put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 26-6 victory. The Bulls' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

A big part of Bulls College Prep's win came down to the chemistry between Lillian Alverado and her top target Jae Johnson. Alverado threw for 60 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of her passes while Johnson rushed for 30 yards. An impressive showing, but Johnson really ramped things up playing D: she picked up three sacks and made seven total tackles.

Bulls College Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Laziria Ecford and Jelani Martinez.

The victory made it two in a row for Bulls College Prep and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Payton College Prep, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
