River Springs is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against San Jacinto Leadership Academy on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. River Springs was dealt an 82-11 defeat at the hands of San Jacinto Leadership Academy. River Springs was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-6.

Meanwhile, Loma Linda Academy waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Cardinals as they made off with a 64-41 win. The Roadrunners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Loma Linda Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for River Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

River Springs was dealt a bruising 66-19 defeat at the hands of Loma Linda Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can River Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
