Preview: First Baptist Academy Lions vs. Moore Haven Terriers
The First Baptist Academy Lions will be playing at home against the Moore Haven Terriers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 273 points over their last six contests.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but First Baptist Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 50-27 margin over the Sentinels. The result was nothing new for First Baptist Academy, who have now won six matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Ethan Crossan, who threw for 394 yards and four touchdowns while completing 89.3% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Crossan hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for six straight games. Sam Sparacio was another key contributor, gaining 135 total yards and two touchdowns.
Community School of Naples typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Moore Haven proved too difficult a challenge. Moore Haven took down Community School of Naples 28-14. The win made it back-to-back wins for Moore Haven.
First Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Moore Haven, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Everything went First Baptist Academy's way against Moore Haven in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as First Baptist Academy made off with a 49-24 victory.
