Soccer Recap: Verdugo Hills Comes Up Short

Verdugo Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monroe Vikings. The Dons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Verdugo Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Monroe, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 2-8-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Arleta the next time they take the pitch. Monroe will head out to face Arleta at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Verdugo Hills will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
