Preview: Dunsmuir Tigers vs. Surprise Valley Hornets
After two games on the road, Dunsmuir is heading back home. They and the Surprise Valley Hornets will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Michael Kellar and Casey Grove.
On Wednesday, Dunsmuir had to suffer through a rough 69-34 loss at the hands of the Hornets. Dunsmuir was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.
Dunsmuir's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.5 points per game. As for Surprise Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.
Dunsmuir was taken down by the Hornets 69-34 when the teams last played on Wednesday. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dunsmuir was down 40-12.
