Soccer Game Preview: Hilliard vs. Baker County

Hilliard is 0-6 against Baker County since January of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Hilliard Red Flashes will venture away from home to square off against the Baker County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

Hilliard is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They came up short against Christ's Church Academy, falling 9-1.

Meanwhile, Baker County kept a clean sheet against Ribault on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Trojans. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

They hit Ribault with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mike Landers (2), Haddon Rowland, Ben Chancy, and Peyton Smith.

Baker County now has a winning record of 3-2-2. As for Hilliard, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Hilliard might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Baker County in their previous matchup back in November. Can Hilliard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
