The Cox Mill Chargers are taking a road trip to take on the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cox Mill is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against Northwest Cabarrus, falling 19-3.

Cox Mill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evie Flores, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Pine Lake Prep had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over Metrolina Christian Academy on Monday.
