Baseball Recap: Hobbton Wildcats vs. Union Spartans
Hobbton put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They never let the Union Spartans onto the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Hobbton.
Zy Smith was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Santos, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Hobbton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Union, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Hobbton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-6 defeat vs. North Duplin on the 30th. Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
