Softball Recap: Rising Sun Shiners vs. Jac-Cen-Del Eagles

Rising Sun stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They put the hurt on the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles with a sharp 20-3 win. Winning may never get old, but Rising Sun sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Alyssa Simpson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Simpson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Simpson was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Nora Powell was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.
