Softball Recap: Vandalia Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Vandalia and Mulberry Grove had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Vandals lost 9-1 to the Aces on Monday. If the Vandals were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Aces when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Vandalia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mady McCall, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Vandalia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mulberry Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandalia will host Greenville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mulberry Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincolnwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
