Softball Recap: Central Bucks South Starts off Right with Win over Villa Joseph Marie

Central Bucks South took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over the Villa Joseph Marie Jems. The win was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Alexis Griffin looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Allie Higdon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Maura Flemming, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Bucks South will host Perkiomen Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Villa Joseph Marie, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Delaware County Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
