Basketball Game Preview: Boone Toreadors vs. North Polk Comets

Boone is on a three-game streak of home losses, North Polk a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Boone Toreadors will host the North Polk Comets at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Boone was beaten by A-D-M 86-57. While losing is never fun, the Toreadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Tigers are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, North Polk came up short against Carroll on Tuesday and fell 59-46.

North Polk's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Boone, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-12.

Boone didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against North Polk when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 72-68 victory. Will Boone repeat their success, or does North Polk have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
