Volleyball Recap: Melbourne Falls Short Against Ranked Indian Rocks Christian

Melbourne faced Indian Rocks Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell 2-0 to the Eagles. The match marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Addison Simcox paced Melbourne's offense, picking up six kills. Simcox got some help from Lily Sigety and her 14 assists. Kinsey Hurd controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Melbourne fell to 6-1. As for Indian Rocks Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Melbourne has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Lakewood Ranch on the 23rd. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Harvest Community on the 23rd.
