Basketball Game Preview: Kenton Wildcats vs. Defiance Bulldogs

Kenton and Defiance are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Kenton Wildcats will take on the Defiance Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Kenton will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kenton faced off against Van Wert on Saturday. Kenton took down Van Wert 59-41. The Wildcats pushed the score to 51-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Defiance played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Patrick Henry 53-26. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Kenton pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Defiance, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything came up roses for Kenton against Defiance in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 71-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kenton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
