Recap: Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons vs. Grand Meadow Superlarks
The Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-40 walloping at the hands of Grand Meadow.
When it comes to explaining why Wabasha-Kellogg lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ileana DeAngel. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The match was DeAngel's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Brielle Adams was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Wabasha-Kellogg's loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-11. As for Grand Meadow, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
Wabasha-Kellogg is on the road again on Saturday and play against Lyle/Pacelli at 3:30 p.m. on January 13th. Lyle/Pacelli is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Grand Meadow won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against LeRoy-Ostrander at 7:15 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully LeRoy-Ostrander focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Monday.
