Soccer Recap: Coginchaug Regional Takes a Loss

Coginchaug Regional lost against Cromwell back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Panthers who were credited with the victory. The Cromwell Panthers got it done in the shootout by posting two goals to the Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils' zero. Coginchaug Regional have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Sofia Hempel and Shayla Vazquez scored both of Coginchaug Regional's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Coginchaug Regional's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-2. As for Cromwell, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1-1.

As of now, neither Coginchaug Regional nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
