Soccer Recap: Nichols Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Nichols was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Varsity Opponent could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Gus Smith was the only thing that stood between Nichols and a shutout considering he scored both of Nichols' goals, bringing his season total up to 21 goals.

With that draw, Nichols' record moves to 5-5-1.

Coming up, Nichols will head out on the road to challenge Canisius at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Canisius will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Nichols surely won't give up without a fight. Varsity Opponent has already played their next matchup (against Rocky Hill Country Day), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
