Volleyball Recap: Clear Lake Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Clear Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Bragg Timberwolves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Clear Lake took Fort Bragg into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 15-10.

Faith McIntire paced Clear Lake's offense, picking up 14 kills. McIntire got some help from Jazmin Wiebusch and her 34 assists. Finally, McIntire was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Clear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Fort Bragg, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8.

Clear Lake has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Cloverdale on the 14th. As for Fort Bragg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Middletown on the 14th.
