Monroeville won the last time they faced Western Reserve and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Roughriders with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Monroeville's got stronger as the match went on, holding Western Reserve to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-19, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Madyson Miller, who had nine digs and two aces.

Miller wasn't the only good server: Monroeville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 32 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Monroeville's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Western Reserve, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Monroeville will face off against Clyde at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Fliers at the right time seeing as the Fliers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Western Reserve, they will take on New London at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
