Basketball Recap: Karson Vaughn's Big Game Can't Quite Lead White Deer over Wildorado

White Deer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 73-54 fall against the Wildorado Mustangs. The Bucks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

White Deer lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Karson Vaughn, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braxton Brown, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards.

White Deer's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Wildorado, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, White Deer will square off against Fort Elliott at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bucks will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Wildorado, they will take on Wellington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
