Basketball Recap: Hockinson Takes a Loss

Hockinson lost against Ridgefield back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hockinson Hawks might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Ridgefield Spudders an easy 79-58 win. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Spudders are ranked 55th).

Hockinson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ridgefield, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Hockinson will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Vancouver at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th. After both having extra time off, Ridgefield and Washougal will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
