Softball Game Preview: Rincon/University Rangers vs. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions

The Rincon/University Rangers will face off against the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Rincon/University and four for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy.

Friday just wasn't the day for Rincon/University's offense. They came up short against Flowing Wells on Friday, falling 10-0.

Rincon/University saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Gyuro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy lost 15-5 to Sahuarita on Friday.

Hannah DeBake made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Rincon/University, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

Everything went Rincon/University's way against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2018, as Rincon/University made off with an 8-0 victory. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
