Baseball Game Preview: Seminary Bulldogs vs. Enterprise Bulldogs

The Seminary Bulldogs will face off against the Enterprise Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seminary will be strutting in after a victory while Enterprise will be coming in after a loss.

Seminary had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Northeast Jones an 11-0 shutout on Monday.

Dan Sinclair made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sinclair was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

In other pitching news, Slade Bullock looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Sinclair wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy 'JD' Harvey, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double. What's more, Harvey also racked up three hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Eric McCullum was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Enterprise came up short against South Jones on Tuesday and fell 10-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Braves: they've now lost seven in a row.

Brody Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Sanders, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Seminary skirted past Enterprise 5-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Will Seminary repeat their success, or does Enterprise have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
