Holy Cross's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They skirted past the Fairdale Bulldogs 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since March 21st.

Jaxson Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dillon Drake, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Tyler Manning, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The victory got Holy Cross back to even at 9-9. As for Fairdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Holy Cross will challenge North Bullitt at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fairdale, they will be playing at home against Louisville HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
