Recap: Karns City Gremlins vs. Bradford Owls
The Karns City Gremlins had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Bradford at home to the tune of 70-21. The result was nothing new for Karns City, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Luke Cramer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 183 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries. Cramer was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Slater, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Bradford's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Talan Reese, who threw for 331 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jake Franz was another key contributor, picking up 152 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Karns City's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Bradford, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Karns City will take on Mount Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Union has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 349 points over their last seven matchups. As for Bradford, they will be playing at home against Kane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kane comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
