Soccer Game Preview: Mooresville vs. Lake Norman

Mooresville hasn't had much luck against Lake Norman recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Blue Devils will head out to square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Mooresville is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Mooresville barely beat South Iredell the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Vikings on Tuesday. Mooresville's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

They hit South Iredell with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Riley Alexander, Macie Cline, Ruby Hauk, and Ava Osogwin.

Meanwhile, Lake Norman faced Hickory Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ragin' Bulls. Lake Norman have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Lake Norman's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Mooresville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1.
