Burges hasn't had much luck against Andress recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
If Andress heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Burges took over last week. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Horizon 31-28.

It was another big night for Nezahul Cisneros, who rushed for 194 yards and four scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Nathan Duran also helped out with an impressive 108 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Burges was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 209 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, Andress entered their tilt with Horizon last Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They breezed past the Scorpions to the tune of 58-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-0.
Andress' win came from a few key players Burges will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mikeil Taylor, who picked up 152 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards. Another player making a difference was Brian Cordova, who rushed for 125 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.
Burges now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Andress, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Burges has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 168.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Andress struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 266.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Burges couldn't quite get it done against Andress when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 34-21. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Marcus Wilson (who rushed for 170 yards and one score while picking up 10.0 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
