Football Recap: Rimrock Gets the Win

Rimrock played against Horseshoe Bend on Friday and won via forfeit.

Justin Yetzer was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 22 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 95 yards and one touchdown. Kolton Jewett was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and one score on only six carries.

Rimrock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Carlos Herrera. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Rimrock's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Horseshoe Bend, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Rimrock will square off against Rockland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Horseshoe Bend, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Salmon River at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
