Soccer Recap: Evergreen Valley Comes Up Short

Evergreen Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monta Vista Matadors. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1030th, while the Matadors are ranked 256th).

Evergreen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Monta Vista, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evergreen Valley has already played their next matchup (against Yerba Buena), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Monta Vista has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Lynbrook.
