George County has gone 9-1 against Hancock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

George County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Long Beach 8-2. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Carson Pierce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, Grant Reeves was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cayler Havard, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

11 must be Hancock's lucky number: they beat Hattiesburg with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Hawks beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1.

Hancock's win bumped their record up to 24-7. As for George County, their victory bumped their record up to 21-9.

Everything went George County's way against Hancock in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as George County made off with an 8-2 win. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
