Basketball Game Preview: Tuscola Mountaineers vs. West Henderson Falcons

Tuscola hasn't had much luck against West Henderson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tuscola Mountaineers will take on the West Henderson Falcons at 6:30 p.m.

Tuscola is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-50 heartbreaker at the hands of West Henderson.

Tuscola better keep an eye on Nyla Carroll. She was instrumental in West Henderson's win, going 7-for-15 to rack up 18 points and three steals. Carroll has become a key player for West Henderson: the team is 5-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 8-10 otherwise. Allison Justus was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

West Henderson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in ten consecutive contests.

Tuscola's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for West Henderson, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
