Powers entered their tilt with Mapleton on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Mapleton Sailors with a sharp 56-31 win. The Cruisers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Mapleton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucie Burruss posted 16 points and three steals.

Powers' victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Mapleton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Coming up, Powers will face off against Rogue Valley Adventist at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mapleton, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Crow/City First Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
