Basketball Game Preview: Rockford East E-Rabs vs. Whitney Young Dolphins

The Rockford East E-Rabs will take on the Whitney Young Dolphins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Rockford East had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Morgan Park.

The losing side was boosted by Marquis Goldsmith, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Tarion McFadden-Leach, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 11 points.

Meanwhile, Whitney Young strolled past Jefferson with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 61-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dolphins.

Rockford East took a serious blow against Whitney Young in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 85-43. Can the E-Rabs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
