Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Takes a Loss

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 57-46 to the Grandview Prep Pride.

Despite the loss, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Leila Bryant shot 56% from the field on her way to 23 points and five rebounds. Bryant also set a new season-high mark in three-point shooting accuracy with 50%. Gianna Conklin-Jones was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 15 points.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Grandview Prep, the victory was the 19th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-35 win against Sandburg on the 25th. Grandview Prep has also already played their next matchup (against Archer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
