Volleyball Recap: Northside - Jacksonville Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Northside - Jacksonville had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Southwest Onslow Stallions by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Northside - Jacksonville actually scored more points across those five sets (103-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 13-25, 15-10.

Several Monarchs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alaana Mack, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Coincidentally, Northside - Jacksonville and Southwest Onslow will both be playing Jacksonville the next time they take the court. The Stallions will head out to face the Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Monarchs will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
