It was a good run, but Cypress Bay unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Sophia Guzman paced Cypress Bay's offense, picking up five kills. Guzman got some help from Erin Huang and her six assists.

Cypress Bay's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Cypress Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against West Broward on the 6th. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Chaminade-Madonna on the 30th.
