After a string of four wins, Delbarton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to the Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders 76-72. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Green Wave came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 62nd in New Jersey, while the Crusaders are ranked 333rd in New York).

Delbarton's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Monsignor Scanlan, they moved to 4-9 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
