Softball Game Preview: Moravia Mohawks vs. Seymour Warriors

Moravia and Seymour are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2018, but likely not for long. The Mohawks will welcome the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Moravia has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Seymour will arrive with three straight wins.

Moravia fell victim to Carlisle and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 22-0.

Meanwhile, Seymour got the win against Moulton-Udell on Friday by a conclusive 9-1.

Seymour pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Moravia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Moravia took their victory against Seymour in their previous meeting back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Mohawks repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
