Softball Recap: La Grande Tigers vs. Pendleton Buckaroos
La Grande is still undefeated this season after their contest against Pendleton on Friday, but Pendleton came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Buckaroos. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 13-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Kallyn Harnack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Marti Anderson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassidy Hogge, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: La Grande lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

La Grande's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0.
