Volleyball Recap: Greene County Takes a Loss

Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elbert County Blue Devils. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-1.

Greene County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Elbert County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Greene County will square off against Westminster Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elbert County, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Cedar Shoals on the 26th.
