Even though they lost, Carlinville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenfield/Northwestern struck out seven times.

On the hitting side, Greenfield/Northwestern let Talon Albrecht and Kohen Vetter loose on the outfield. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlinville will square off against Nokomis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nokomis' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Carlinville's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they will head out on the road to face off against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
