Preview: South Bend Clay Colonials vs. Concord Minutemen
The South Bend Clay Colonials are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Concord Minutemen at 7:45 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in South Bend Clay's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Last Friday, South Bend Clay didn't have too much trouble with Elkhart on the road as they won 66-51.
Tyrese Jones was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last seven games he's played. Noah Fernandez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Concord unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Northridge by a score of 46-43.
South Bend Clay now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Concord, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3.
South Bend Clay came up short against Concord when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 63-55. Can South Bend Clay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
