Buena waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 60th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Buena hit Mica Mountain with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Paige Goodman (2), Lily Kennaley, and Hailey Dale.

Buena pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three matches. As for Mica Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
