The Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates struggled with assists on Friday (the Limon Badgers had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Genoa-Hugo/Karval was outmatched by Limon at home and fell 66-38. Genoa-Hugo/Karval has struggled against Limon recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Loss or not, Genoa-Hugo/Karval got some senior leadership from Trey Smith who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five steals and Dane Lockhart who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 50% of Genoa-Hugo/Karval's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Jordan Rockwell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Limon, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds. Treyton Marx was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Genoa-Hugo/Karval's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Limon, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.
