Soccer Game Preview: Damien vs. Rancho Cucamonga

The Damien Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Damien turned things around against Los Osos on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Grizzlies could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result was nothing new for Damien as the team haven't won a game since December 30, 2025.

Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga kept a clean sheet against Chino Hills on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Rancho Cucamonga's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Chino Hills are ranked 832nd).

Rancho Cucamonga's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. Damien's draw gives them a new season record of 6-8-4.
