Football Recap: Beekmantown Takes a Loss

Beekmantown was the 55-16 winner over Plattsburgh when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 39-30 to the Hornets on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Beekmantown took the loss, they still got scores from Cole Brodi, Garrett Pelkey, Hunter Porter, and Shamus Bibeau.

Plattsburgh's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colden Johnson, who threw for 113 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. The Hornets' leading receiver Ryan Colburn was Johnson's top target yet again, picking up 68 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Beekmantown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Plattsburgh, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Beekmantown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-24 loss against Saranac Lake on the 24th. As for Plattsburgh, they have also already played their next contest, a 49-0 win against Ticonderoga on the 25th.
