Recap: Belleville East Lancers vs. Belleville West Maroons
The Belleville East Lancers and the Belleville West Maroons squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Belleville East Lancers had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to the Maroons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Belleville East of the 46-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Belleville West got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Myles Liddell out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick K hankins, who scored 13 points.
Belleville East has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 20-12 record this season. As for Belleville West, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-13.
