Last Wednesday, Fort Lauderdale made easy work of Chaminade-Madonna and carried off a 9-1 win. Considering the Flying L's have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

In other batting news, Tannar Keenan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Jazette Dollar was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Cooper City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westminster Academy.
Rylee Hedden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aileen Laffita, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Fort Lauderdale has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cooper City, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.
Cooper City's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Fort Lauderdale has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Cooper City, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Fort Lauderdale keep running through batters, or will the Cowboys buck the trend?
Fort Lauderdale came up short against Cooper City in their previous matchup on April 1st, falling 8-5. Can the Flying L's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
