Clippers complete season with fourth straight New Hampshire Division II championship and a national-record 83 straight wins — with a list of the top win streak in all sports.

The Portsmouth (N.H.) Clippers needed a rally in the sixth inning to defeat St. Thomas Aquinas 9-6 for the New Hampshire Division II championship and keep alive their 83-game win streak.

The Clippers head into next season with the national record for consecutive wins intact. Portsmouth broke the national mark of 75 wins in a row, held by Homer (Mich.), in May and has added to the record en route to winning its fourth straight Division II state title.

According to Seacoastonline.com, Portsmouth trailed 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth after a five-run rally in the fourth helped St. Thomas Aquinas overcome a 5-1 deficit. But the Clippers rallied for four runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth behind Keegan Taylor's bases-loaded triple.

Taylor split time on the mound to get the win. He pitched the first inning before moving to the outfield in the second. He returned to the mound to start the fourth inning and was in line for the loss, the first of his high school career, after giving up the five runs to Aquinas in the fifth.

However Taylor came through with the triple in the sixth and then struck out the side in the seventh to give the Clippers the win. Taylor ended his high school career with a 25-0 record. The Clippers end the season at 20-0.
